Dates and Times:
March 17, 1:00PM-3:00PM; (Also on March 24, at the same time of day (different location).)
Our heritage and history in the Southwest is rooted in land and landscape. Clay and broken pottery is found everywhere, and tell of a creative and functional enterprise caried on by women for at least 1500 years. This four-part workshop will take participants from ancient shards and natural clay harvested from the earth, to their own expression in this welcoming material. Individual vessels and collaborative projects will result in beautiful hand-built pieces, outdoor-fired, and intended to share knowledge of art between women, and create and historically aware and expressive community of clay artists.
