Best-selling author, journalist and solar-powered goatherd Doug Fine will share his humorous stories interwoven with personal experience and important facts to show how anyone can move seamlessly to sustainability, through solar power and other easy tips at home, vegetable oil-powered autos and a sustainable diet. Since moving to southern New Mexico, Fine has established the Funky Butte Ranch, growing his own food and raising chickens and goats, installed solar power, and outsmarted — on occasion — coyotes and Mother Nature in order to live sustainably. The talk will be followed by a Great Conversation led by Randy Harris, allowing the audience to become participants in discussing the thought-provoking topic just presented.

This talk is part of the Southwest Senior Lifestyle Expo. A $3 suggested donation supports the Community of Hope Homeless Veterans Program.
