Wind Advocates Want More Help from Congress (2008-03-07)
This week's much hailed opening of the Vestas Wind manufacturing plant is bringing scrutiny to a soon to expire federal wind power tax credit, that Congress has yet to extend. Scott Kerkmans of Denver is no doubt the envy of beer drinkers around the world. As best as we can tell, Kerkmans is the world's first Chief Beer Officer. He works for Four Points by Sheraton hotels, and hand selects most of the brews featured in the chain's bars and restaurants. The company created the CBO because it wants to market so-called craft beers as one of its specialties, a move reflecting the growing popularity of micro-brewed beer. Health Care, Transportation & Education Update (2008-02-12)

On January 31st a commission on health care recommended that everyone in Colorado be required to have medical insurance and that the state put more money into child health care and Medicaid. Western Energy Boom Expanding (2007-11-08)
Federal land managers will open up nearly a 130 thousand acres of public land in Colorado to energy companies for oil and gas drilling Thursday. It's one of four annual lease auctions held by the Bureau of Land Management, an agency that's often criticized for allowing drilling on vast amounts of western land. Colorado filling up with E85 (2007-02-16)
Colorado motorists, who get around in biofuel vehicles, will soon have more places to fill 'er up.
