Governor Helps Open New CSU Innovation Center
The Research Innovation Center will bring together business and office space as well as bioscience laboratories under one roof. Bill Farland is the Vice President for Research at CSU. He says the goal is to move innovations in health and disease research through the testing phase and on to the marketplace a quickly as possible.
"There will be room for university academic researchers and then also incubation space where we can have start up companies and other private sector companies interacting with our researchers in developing these products"
The opening of the 72-thousand square foot, state-of-the-art facility is the latest addition to CSU's infectious disease research center. The program is also under new leadership with Dr. Rick Lyons overseeing the program after leaving a similar post at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
