The leading cause of home fires in this country is blamed in a fire on Premier Lane in Columbia last night. Unattended cooking is cited as the cause of a fire that caused 20-thousand dollars in damages to the duplex. Columbia firefighters arrived at the home just before nine last night and quickly contained the fire. Investigators say the occupants left home to pick up their kids and returned to find flames pouring through the living room window.
