Vilsack Backs National Roadless Plan

(KUNC) -
US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is praising a decision by Colorado officials to extend a public comment period on a proposed plan to manage more than four million acres of roadless national forests in the state. But during a brief visit to Denver yesterday, the secretary said his agency - which oversees the US Forest Service - still favors a national policy on roadless management. KUNC's Kirk Siegler has more.
