(KUNC) - When Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced earlier this month that the new administration would throw out controversial changes to the Endangered Species Act made in the late hour of the Bush Administration environmentalists cheered. And overnight, hundreds of rare plants and animals were suddenly up for possible federal protection. One of those species is the Gunnison sage grouse.
