HCN Examines Crested Butte Resort Expansion DENVER, CO (KUNC) - It's mid April, and that means the Colorado ski season is winding down. It's been a difficult year for most resorts. There were heavy snows in the beginning of the year, and at the end, but NOT during peak destination travel time. The nationwide recession is also hurting business. That may not sound like a good economic climate for resort expansions and redevelopments. But some are going forward with such plans anyway.
