In 1968, with the conflict in Vietnam at its height, a divided Democratic Party descended on Chicago for its presidential nominating convention; protests led to riots, and the democrats' ultimate loss to Richard Nixon. It's a scene that a divided party in 2008, would like to avoid but one activists aren't sure they can. KUNC's Kirk Siegler begins an occasional series of stories our newsroom will bring you, as preparation continues for this summer's Democratic Convention in Denver.
