The Center for Fine Art Photography is having their monthly First Friday Artist Reception for Meeri Koutaniemi and her exhibition Namibia, Re/colonized, De/customized. Koutaniemi's exhibition is about the Hereros tribe inhabiting Southern Africa, mainly Namibia. In the beginning of the 20th century the German colonists took over 80 000 Hereros to the concentration camps killing almost 80 percent of the population. Please join the Center and artists from across the globe, for an evening of art, inspiration, and community.
