As a special thank you to the Missoula community for four years of support, Director Jan Selby and the staff of Quiet Island Films are happy to announce a sneak preview screening of Beyond the Divide (formerly 9 Pieces of Peace) as part of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
"Beyond the Divide" is a movie about the history of the peace sign that was visible on
Missoula’s North Hills between 1983 and 2001. It also tells the tale of a Vietnam veterans and a peace advocates, two groups with a troubled and conflicted history, that have been able to find common ground and bridge a gap that had so long divided them through understanding and respect.
Audience members will have an opportunity to provide comments about the film via an online survey available at the film screening.
The crew of Quiet Island Film is so excited to share the film with you. With the support of many in Missoula, they have created a film that will inspire audiences to consider how each of us can be a catalyst for change, working toward finding common ground instead of accepting the divides between us.
