The Archives will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series on Wednesday, February 26, with Richard Gibson discussing his presentation titled "Using social media and on-line mapping for Butte History."
It once took steamships, wagons, and locomotives to connect Butte to the world, but Butte's history now is available in many forms at the tap of a computer mouse. This talk will explore the use of interconnected blogs, web sites, Facebook pages, and mapping approaches to visualizing and sharing Butte's rich history.
The Brown Bag Lunch Series will be held during the noon hour every second and fourth Wednesday of each month. The Series will feature speakers from throughout the community and elsewhere on a variety of history-related topics. Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.
