The Archives will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series on Wednesday, January 22, with Richard Nelson discussing the formation of Silver Bow Art.
Silver Bow Art is dedicated to the preservation and curation of recently produced artwork from artists around the world that might not find a home elsewhere. The last half of the 20th century was a very fertile period for the arts, and one side effect of this has been the lack of suitable storage and exhibition facilities to keep up with the explosion of art. Silver Bow Art hopes to remedy this for a small group of artists and artwork. A secondary goal is to expose children and the general public to the concepts and joys of modern artwork.
The Brown Bag Lunch Series will be held during the noon hour every second and fourth Wednesday of each month. The Series will feature speakers from throughout the community and elsewhere on a variety of history-related topics. Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.
