SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (kuer) - Tuesday, we're talking about childhood trauma and the effects it has on health throughout a person's life. In the latest New Yorker, journalist Paul Tough visits a clinic in the poorest and most violent neighborhood in San Francisco. There, doctors are faced with issues that aren't traditionally treated by medicine: homelessness, gang violence and abuse. Tough joins us to explain the correlation that research is finding between social issues and many diseases that are plaguing the nation.
