(2009-10-14)

(kuer) -

125 million years ago, a drought left many dinosaurs dead at the edge of a shallow lake in what is now southern Utah. Others trampled their bodies trying to get a drink. Brigham Young University Geology Professor Brooks Britt and his colleagues have studied more than four thousand bones from the Dalton Wells site near Arches National Park. They'll become part of the collection housed in the Museum of Paleontology near the B-Y-U football stadium -- the building that until now has been called the Earth Sciences Museum. Britt spoke with KUER's Dan Bammes.
