SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
(kuer) -
Marine biologist Helen Scales became fascinated with seahorses as a child, and it's easy to see why. They are the only animal on earth whose males give birth to the young; they change colors like chameleons, have prehensile tails like monkeys and pouches like kangaroos. Scales went on a 10-year journey to learn about the myths and the realities of seahorses. Monday, she joins us to talk about their beauty and the dangers they now face.
Helen Scales' 10 Top Tips for Saving Our Seahorses The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, Utah, will open its new exhibit "Seahorse Symphony" on Saturday, December 19th. The new permanent exhibit features 4 species of seahorses and 4 species of pipefish. For more information, call (801) 355-FISH (3474)or click here Project Seahorse
