Utah Congressman Jim Matheson says the danger of radioactive fallout could return to Utah with the possible federal testing of small nuclear weapons. Matheson blames radiation from the testing in Nevada in the 1950s and early 60s for the death of his father, former Governor Scott Matheson,
The Utah Democrat spoke to the Legislature yesterday and said any testing of a new type of nuclear weapon at the Nevada Test Site would again expose Utah residents to the dangers of atomic fallout.
