JFAC Makes History By Listening

It's an historic week for budget writing at Idaho's capital. Idaho's Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee, JFAC is used to writing the state budget mostly on their own. But, this year for the largest portions of the budget, education and Health and Welfare, they held joint meetings with the house and senate committees that write policy in those areas. The first week of those joint-joint meetings is ending with another first for the state. JFAC is taking testimony from the general public. Anyone can go to the statehouse and speak their mind on the 2012 state budget. This morning it was the education budget.
