Medical Charity Rebuilding in Haiti
SALT LAKE CITY, UT
(kuer) -
Almost 30 years ago, Jeff Randle served as a missionary in Haiti for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A few years later, Doctor Jeff Randle, now a specialist in physical and rehabilitation medicine, went back and helped to establish Healing Hands for Haiti, a medical practice that provides prosthetics for amputees as well as physical and occupational therapy.

After the earthquake in January, Randle joined a group of medical professionals organized by the church in Haiti. They discovered that all but one of the buildings in the Healing Hands compound in Port-au-Prince had been destroyed. Now he's back in Salt Lake working in his regular practice and planning for the long-term future. KUER's Dan Bammes spoke to Doctor Randle last week in his office.
