Sundance Film Fest Heads to Michigan
Russ Collins is executive director of the Michigan Theater, one of the selected venues:
"The Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor was the 1st venue that they picked, we're also the smallest city and the largest theater to be screening a Sundance film festival film."
The Michigan Theater will premiere a comedy by the Duplass brothers called "Cyrus" on January 28th. It stars Marisa Tomei, John C Reilly and Jonah Hill. The Duplass brothers will be at the premiere.
Other Sundance premiere cities include Brooklyn, LA, Chicago, Boston and Madison.

The Sundance Institute is trying something new this time around. Instead of premiering all the festival films in Park City, Utah, 8 filmmakers will fly to 1 of 8 theaters around the country and premiere their films there.null
