August 6, 12:00PM-2:00PM
Memory Grove Discovery Days is scheduled for August 6 in historic Memory Grove Park at the mouth of City Creek Canyon, near the State Capitol in Salt Lake City. The events focus on tradition of bringing historic building restoration techniques to the public through fun and free activities. It is a great way to learn about and share the history, architecture, and art of one of the most enjoyable locations in the city. Discovery Day focuses on children and will include a scavenger hunt and craft projects to teach about heritage and preservation. All Memory Grove Discovery Day events are free and take place in Memory Grove Park.

The event is combined with UHFs annual tours of Meditation Chapel and Memorial House in Memory Grove Park.

Every child is given a free coloring book of Memory Grove landmarks. These activities are suitable for children generally between the ages of 4 and 12. We are currently planning to have the following activities as part of Memory Grove Discovery Day:
• Memory Grove scavenger hunt (prizes awarded!)
• Stained glass
• Building contests
• and more!

The program is sponsored by Utah Heritage Foundation.
