SUBMITTING A PSA: KUER will select 6-8 calendar submissions from non-profit organizations to rotate on-air for a two-week period. PSAs are selected for on-air inclusion on the basis of community service and appropriateness for KUER’s audience. Because this is a free service to non-profits, on-air broadcast is not guaranteed. KUER reserves the right to remove material that is not conducive to FCC guidelines.
We would like to invite you to join us for The Shared Solution Birding Field Trip & Fundraiser. We will cover areas from Farmington to Syracuse as we bird the route of the new freeway corridor proposed by UDOT. We will highlight and focus on birds and other wildlife that the proposed route would irreversibly impact. Join us for an exciting and educational morning of birding, and find out firsthand exactly how a new freeway corridor would affect your region. Learn about the Shared Solution and its alternative proposal to address traffic congestion in West Davis County.
Join us for carpooling at the Sugarhouse ShopKo at 8 am, or meet us at Great Salt Lake Nature Center at Farmington Bay at 8:30 am. Our rough schedule will be Farmington Bay *:30-9:30 am, Kay's Creek area of The Nature Conservancy 10-11 am, and the Syracuse Jensen Park Nature Trail 11:30-12:30 pm.
Bring cash or checks. The suggested minimum donation is $20.
This event is sponsored by Great Salt Lake Audubon, Friends of Great Salt Lake, Utah Birders, The Nature Conservancy & Utahns for Better Transportation.
