St. Louis Fed chief rejects comparison to 1930's
(2008-10-15)
(UALR Public Radio) - The stock market was down another 700-points Wednesday, so it's not surprising that for the 80th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, the topic was the economy.

The guest of honor was Jim Bullard, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louis. He told about 400 business and government leaders that comparisons to the Great Depression of the 1930's are "greatly strained."
