Ivory-billed Woodpecker search is being scaled back
(2008-10-10)
(UALR Public Radio) - Researchers at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology have been spending their winters in Arkansas since a series of reported sightings in 2004 of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. But this winter, after years of fruitless searching, Cornell is sending no full-time staff here.

FM 89's Ron Breeding spoke with the leader of the Cornell search effort and the Arkansas researcher now taking up the cause. You can listen to his full report above.
