Ark. convenience store trade group backs lottery
The Arkansas Oil Marketers Association has endorsed a proposed constitutional amendment that would create a lottery to fund college scholarships, the group backing the lottery announced Tuesday. The association represents roughly 3,000 of the 3,500 convenience stores in Arkansas.
The lottery amendment is being pushed by Lt. Gov. Bill Halter.
