Black churches hold Arkansas-wide gathering
The four-day gathering, Sept. 14 through Sept. 17, will feature well-known church leaders from Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, and Memphis, Tenn. Gov. Mike Beebe is to welcome the group at its opening ceremony.
Some 2,500 people are expected to attend the gathering at the Statehouse Convention Center and St. Mark Baptist Church. Bishop Kenneth Robinson of Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church in Little Rock is chairman of the event.
