Dillard's to ax travel service
But the company said today that it would keep a corporate travel business that is based at its Little Rock headquarters.
The company said 160 workers will be affected and that Dillard's is trying to place them in other positions. Dillard's has travel offices in 43 of its 318 stores.
The company said it will honor trips already booked through its agency and that a number of managers will handle the pending travel. Dillard's is not booking new travel arrangements.
Dillard's said the closure is part of a continuing review of its operations, expected to result in closure of under-performing units.
Dillard's has stores in 29 states.
