Dillard's holds 100 percent interest in CDI
(2008-08-30)
(UALR Public Radio) - Dillard's Inc. says it has acquired the half of CDI Contractor's LLC and CDI Contractor's Inc. that it didn't own. The company, originally started to build Dillard's department stores, expanded beyond that, and was the general contractor for the Clinton Presidential Library.

The retail department store chain held 50 percent interest in CDI and bought the remaining half. A Dillard's news release today said the purchase was from a trust set up by the late CDI founder William E. Clark and Braggs Electric Construction Company, controlled by the Clark family.

Dillard's provided no further details on the acquisition.

With Clark's death last year, Dillard's had the option to buy the other half of the company but also discussed allowing CDI employees to buy the shares.

John Glasgow, chief financial officer for CDI, was in charge of the redistribution and himself stood to buy a part of the company. Glasgow has been missing since January 28th. Both
Dillard's and CDI have said there were no signs of fiscal mismanagement by Glasgow.
