Shotgun Stories debuts in Little Rock.
(2007-12-14)
(UALR Public Radio) - Roger Ebert called it the great discovery of this year's Chicago Film Festival.

From an editing room in back of a Little Rock furniture store to the silver screens of Berlin, Paris, Sidney and New York, "Shotgun Stories" has proven to be the little film that could. It was written and directed by Arkansas native Jeff Nichols, and shot entirely in-state in 2004 and 2005. Tonight it premieres at the Market Street Cinema in Little Rock, kicking off its first theatrical run, with a wide release next spring.

FM 89 spoke with Nichols in our studios this week. Click one of the audio links above to hear the interview.

Tickets to the 7 pm premiere, Friday, Dec 14th are $10 for admission, $20 for admission and after-party, and are available at the Arkansas Times, Sticky Fingers restaurant, and the Market Street Cinema.
