More fired for accessing slain TV anchor's records
(2009-07-01)
(UALR Public Radio) - The chief executive of St. Vincent Health System says more people have been fired than the number charged for illegally accessing medical records of television anchor Anne Pressly.

Pressly was a KATV anchor who died Oct. 25 after being found beaten in her home four days earlier.

Dr. Jay Holland and former hospital employees Sarah Miller and Candida Griffin face misdemeanor federal charges of illegally accessing Pressly's records.

St. Vincent President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Banko said Tuesday that more than that number have been fired. Banko would not say how many were fired but in November he said that as many as six people were dismissed.

Curtis Lavelle Vance of Marianna has been charged with capital murder, rape, residential burglary and theft in the case.
