Lu Hardin takes job as president of Florida school
(2009-06-30)
(UALR Public Radio) - Former University of Central Arkansas President Lu Hardin has accepted a job as president of Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida.

Hardin, who is 57, stepped down as UCA's leader last year amid a controversy about a secretly awarded bonus package. The school also faced a series of questions regarding discretionary scholarships awarded to students.

Hardin, a former state senator, will take over as Palm Beach Atlantic's president on Wednesday.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is a private Christian school with campuses in West Palm Beach, Orlando and Wellington.
