Man with knife slain by Little Rock police (UALR Public Radio) - Police say an officer has fatally shot a man wielding a knife at a southwest Little Rock home after he wounded his grandmother and himself.

Police said the shooting occurred Tuesday afternoon when officers arriving at the scene believed the man to be a threat. Two officers fired shots at the man, police said.

The man killed was identified by police as Landris Hawkins.
