Rogers man announces congressional candidacy
Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Jerry Coon says he's concerned about deficit spending and government bailouts. Coon says he also wants to change laws benefiting corporations that move jobs overseas.
He says he needs 2,000 signatures of registered voters to get his name on the ballot.
Coon says he spent 20 years in the Navy and now works for Wal-Mart.
Boozman was first elected in 2001 after Rep. Asa Hutchinson resigned to take a post in the George W. Bush administration and has since been re-elected to four full terms.
