2 arrested in disappearance of former Waldron mayor
Police say they arrested 21-year-old Mario Dawson and 20-year-old Jasmine Dawson around 7p.m. Thursday. Officers say the two are being held on charges of fradulent use of a debit card, but they are also being questioned about the disappearance of former Waldron Mayor Troy Anderson.
The 75-year-old Anderson was reported missing last Saturday. Police say the video from a Fort Smith store shows a person using Anderson's debit card.
Anderson resigned as Waldron mayor in 2006 after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges of abuse of office and indecent exposure. He had been accused of trading city water services for sex. © Copyright 2009, UALR Public Radio
