UALR names Texan as business dean (UALR Public Radio) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has named a Texan as the new dean of its College of Business.

Anthony F. Chelte, current dean of the Dillard College of Business Administration at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, will take over at UALR's business school. School officials say Chelte, 54, will receive an annual salary of $185,000.

Jane Wayland has been serving as interim dean of UALR's business college. She replaced former Dean Hugh Sherman, who resigned in 2007 to take a job as dean of the Ohio University College of Business.
