Natalie Maines, West Memphis Three supporters rally at capitol
(UALR Public Radio) -
About 200 supporters of the West Memphis Three rallied at the state capitol today calling for the release of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelly.
They unfurled a two-block long banner made up of thousands of postcards from around the world. Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines spoke to the crowd, then accompanied Echols' wife Lorri Davis into a meeting with Governor Mike Beebe's staff attorney and press secretary.
