Arkansans record their stories
Arkansans record their stories The Arkansas Studies Institute is located at 401 President Clinton Ave. in Little Rock.
We invite you to be a part of an oral history project. KUAR is partnering with The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies to promote oral history throughout 2010. The project encourages Arkansans to take the time to create a legacy by making a record of their greatest treasure: their personal stories.

The Butler Center invites the public into the new ASI Interview Room in the Arkansas Studies Institute on the first Friday of every month to come in and record oral history interviews. The interview studio is available for 40-minute recording sessions. One person is the interviewer and the other the interviewee. CDs of interviews will be given to participants immediately following the sessions. Some of the interviews may air on KUAR with permission from the participants.

The project was inspired by the oral history project StoryCorps, whose mission is to honor and celebrate one another's lives through recording and listening to their personal stories. You can listen to examples of StoryCorps interviews at the StoryCorps website.
