OZARKS AT LARGE
The twentieth century wooden homes of Fayetteville's downtown area.
(2008-09-04)
(kuaf) - Fayetteville's historic black district is located in a steep, wooded valley directly east of downtown Fayetteville. Over the years, hundreds of early twentieth century homes have been either restored or demolished. Most recently, the landmark Willow Street Hotel was scheduled to be torn down. During segregation, it served as the region's only Bed & Breakfast for African-Americans. But, as Jacqueline Froelich reports, this signifigant site is being saved. © Copyright 2009, kuaf
