A renewed effort to ban unmarried couples from adopting or fostering children is underway. The ballot initiative titled the "Arkansas Adoption and Foster Care Act," is sponsored by the "Family Council" based in Little Rock. The conservative Christian group hopes to raise awareness about the need of children in state custody. They also seek to block gay foster care and adoption. But a new coalition called "Arkansas Families First" plans to block them. Jacqueline Froelich attending the founding meeting of "Arkansas Families First" and files this report.
