Marshallese Liaison Pays Visit to Springdale
FAYETTEVILLE, AR
(kuaf) -
Marshall Islands economic and social justice advocate, Jack Niedenthal, came to Northwest Arkansas during the Marshallese May Day Constitution Gathering in Springdale.
It was the third leg of a trip that took him to Hawaii, California, into Arkansas, then onto Washington DC where he's been petitioning the U.S. government on behalf of displaced islanders gravely impacted by cold war nuclear weapons testing.
Jacqueline Froelich met with Niedenthal in a Springdale park to talk about his life and work and files this extended interview.
