The Hive and the Southern Foodways Alliance invites you to an evening of southern food, film and drink at the Potlikker Bentonville Film Festival. Join us to sample foods made with fresh ingredients from local farms prepared by Akansas’ finest chefs, sip a cold beverage and listen to live bluegrass music by Foley’s Van.
At 7:00, there will be a showing of Joe York’s documentary films about Arkansas, including Fish Ribs in Little Rock, and a short film about the iconic McClard’s Bar-B-Q restaurant in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Ovens Are for Pies. Joe York, a University of Mississippi filmmaker who frequently works with the Southern Foodways Alliance, is well known for his honest portrayals of the South’s food and people.
