Sled dogs in search of homes FAIRBANKS, AK (KUAC) - The poet T.S. Elliot said that April is the cruelest month. That can be especially true if you're a sled dog. As the snow melts and the mushing season comes to an end, the Fairbanks Animal Shelter becomes the drop-off point for unwanted huskies. As KUAC's Libby Casey reports, the Borough Animal Control and local volunteers do everything they can to save these dogs -but sometimes there are just too many to rescue. © Copyright 2013, KUAC
