Alaska Postal Service FAIRBANKS, AK (KUAC) - Some Alaska post offices targeted for closure may get a reprieve. Nearly a year ago, the U.S. Postal Service proposed the closure of more than thirty eight post offices in Alaska. That number was later reduced to 5, and now those offices could be safe for another year.
