NEWS AT KUAC
Join us each Wednesday morning in July at 8:20 a.m. on Alaska Edition as we proudly present Kathy Turco's "Reindeer Herding In Transition," a four-part series exploring the history and challenges of reindeer herding.
Through Turco's soundscapes, we become better acquainted with the reindeer herders of the Seward Peninsula. Each episode was created through a series of interviews conducted by University of Alaska Fairbanks Oral History Department, much of the series draws on work by UAF scientists participating in the "Reindeer Herding in Transition" project.
It is exciting to air the results of research that is conducted right in our backyard by researchers from the Institute of Arctic Biology and the Reindeer Research Program in the School of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences at UAF.
Be sure to tune to Alaska Edition on KUAC 89.9 every Wednesday morning in July at 8:20 a.m. to hear the series in its entirety.
