The El Paso Archaeological Society presents Dr. David V. Hill who will talk about one of the more ubiquitous artifacts recovered from "blow-out" sites in southeastern New Mexico and west Texas. Undecorated potsherds ("brownwares" to local archaeologists) lack decoration, yet analytical techniques can help identify where the brownwares were made.
David V. Hill works for APAC, a heritage management firm in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and he also teaches a course in anthropology & museum studies at Metropolitan State University in Denver.
