The El Paso Museum of Art celebrates the installation and opening of Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture Library in the Algur H. Meadows Library.

Remarks at 5:30 PM by Michael Tomor, Ph.D., EPMA Director and Robert Gonzalez, Ph.D., Director of Texas Tech University School of Architecture.
Lecture, 6–7 PM, "Imaginary Solutions for a Better World" by Roberto Behar & Rosario Marquardt. They will present the work of R & R Studios, their award-winning workshop and laboratory for design-based research, weaving together architecture, art, and urbanism. They will offer a journey from installation in contemporary art museums in Miami, Denver, Madison and Brussels to architectural projects in Copenhagen, Mexico City, and Miami. Described as “architects of hope,” the celebrated work of R & R Studios merge everyday life, and popular and contemporary culture to participate in the invention of the city of tomorrow. The TTU Architecture Library will be part of the Algur H. Meadows Library, and is accessible to all our patrons, including the TTU-EPCC Joint Architecture Program, and the local professional community.
