McCain and Palin Win Strong Support From Four Corners Delegates

(ksut) - Four Corners region delegates at the Republican National Convention were thrilled at Thursday night's nomination acceptance speech by John McCain.

Some of the biggest applause lines of the night where at moments during McCain's speech when he mentioned his VP running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Palin has strong support among many Colorado voters, who are strongly pro-life and agree with Palin's social values. McCain did not with the February caucus primary in Colorado, in part because of lackluster support among social conservatives.

Farmington, New Mexico alternate delegate Karen Bayless said that Palin is a great role-model and American.

"She is dedicated to this country, she has the drive, she has the knowledge. Those who say that she does not have the experience are wrong," Bayless said.
