KSUT Regional
Meetings, Anticipation, Protests and Heat Mark Day 1 of DNC
DENVER, CO
(ksut) -
HOST LEAD: It will be a big night tonight as Democrats open their convention in Denver.
Michelle Obama's speech will focus on the more personal side of her husband, Barack.
And delegates will get to see Senator Ted Kennedy, who is battling brain cancer. He plans to be there for a video tribute to his life and career.
KSUT's Sarah Baumgartner who is in Denver spoke with Victor Locke earlier this afternoon about her experiences today.
VICTOR: KSUT's Sarah Baumgartner is one of an estimated 15-thousand journalists in Denver for the Convention.
I caught up with Sarah late this afternoon, as she was checking out the Pepsi Center where the convention gavels to order tonight.
(Q&A with Sarah)
You can hear Sarah's reports from the Denver, the delegation hotels and on the floor of the Pepsi Center, all this week on KSUT during Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
From KSUT, Four Corners Public Radio, I'm Victor Locke.
