Gas Plant Open After Explosion
(2008-01-22)
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: The Williams Ignacio Field Plant is now in service. It's been almost eight weeks since the plant was last in full operation.

KSUT's Sarah Baumgartner reports.

SARAH: After the Williams plant explosion nearly two months ago, the Ignacio based natural gas processing plant is now up and running.

According to Williams Partners officials, during the interim period Williams re-routed more than 400 million cubic feet per day of gathered volumes to other facilities in the San Juan Basin, including other Williams Partners plants in the Four Corners System.
Alan Armstrong, chief operating officer of the general partner of Williams Partners said that reestablishing the plant in seven weeks was a tremendous achievement considering harsh winter weather conditions.
The estimated damage to the gas processing plant is between roughly $10 and $20 million dollars.
Durango Fire and Rescue Authority says the cause of the explosion will be released tomorrow.
From KSUT, I'm Sarah Baumgartner.
