City Manager Candidates Down to Three

Three men remain as candidates for Durango City Manager. From top to bottom they are Ron LeBlanc, Ketchum, ID. Greg Clifton, Ridgway, CO. Bill Ray, Arvada, CO.
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: The list of Durango City Manager candidates is now down to three.
And all three are in town a two day job interview.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: Ontario, Oregon city manager Scott Trainor has accepted the Fountain, Colorado city manager's job.
He was among four finalists for Durango City manager.
The three remaining finalists include former Pagosa Springs and Cortez city manager Bill Ray who is presently Arvada Deputy manager, Ron LeBlanc, Ketchum, Idaho city manager and Ridgway Town Manager Greg Clifton.
Executive Recruiter Phil McKenney, who received 62 applications for the job says the finalists share a variety of qualifications.
MCKENNEY: SOMEONE THAT'S WORKED IN A GROWING COMMUNITY, SOMEONE THAT CAN DEAL WITH TOURISM AND THE IMPACTS OF TOURISM, CRITICAL ISSUES, REGIONALISM, WORKING WITH OTHER AGENCIES AND COMMUNITIES.
Clifton, Ray and LeBlanc toured the city by bus today, met with city staff and will meet in private with city councilor's tomorrow.
You can visit with them during a reception, from 5:30 to 7:30 this evening at the Train Museum.
It's not known when council will make a final decision.
